Hello, everyone. This time I am sharing a video of unboxing a wireless lavalier microphone. I bought it from JD.com for 267 RMB.Mammoth Lark M1The use process was rather tortuous, and I ended up returning the product.

Therefore, this is also a sharing video with a little bit of complaints.

Let me first give myself a review. This is a purely subjective and real experience, which is only applicable to the product I purchased, and is not an overall evaluation of the brand and product.

Then let's officially start -

In the era of universal self-media, wireless lavalier microphones should not be considered a particularly niche product.

Even at work, if you are in a department with a tight budget, you may have the same needs as me: "Spend less money, do big things." You may even be asked to: "Don't spend money, get things done."

Therefore, if you can’t afford one or two thousand yuan, you can make the choice without thinking; if you want to spend two or three hundred yuan and buy a decent microphone, you still need to choose carefully.

After watching a bunch of review videos, I found that the Mammoth M1 andComark C1After a bit of hesitation, I finally bought the Mammoth. Of course, after recording a 30-minute video, there was silence except for the first two minutes.

So I got angry, and got angry!

Then, I applied for a return.

There are many reasons to choose a product, but usually only one reason to give it up.

So, let’s talk about returns first.

At the end of the video, the unboxing experience is shown.

As I mentioned earlier, the direct reason for the return was that 30 minutes of video material was wasted, which was the episode about avoiding pitfalls on Amazon Cloud. That was the longest episode to record recently, and it actually took half a day from preparation to completion. When the material was exported, you can put yourself in the shoes of the times when you didn’t save the manuscript or the proposal was rejected by the boss.

The key point is: before the actual recording, I tested it four or five times to make sure the equipment was functioning properly before I started the actual recording. I didn't expect it to still fail, so this is not an isolated incident.

Another thing I can't accept is that when the M1 transmitter is clipped to the collar, the actual recorded sound is too small. I can't see the sound waveform on the screen recording software monitor. After importing into PR, the original sound is about 40-db. If you don't turn up the volume, you can't hear it at all. Only when the handheld transmitter is placed near the mouth, the volume is relatively normal.

Before I bought the Co-Mark C1, I thought all wireless lavalier microphones were like this.

The last reason is that the wireless microphone will conflict with the mobile phone Bluetooth. It is best to turn off the mobile phone Bluetooth when using it. This is not what I found

Instead, the official customer service said this when they were investigating the cause of the return.

This is hard to accept: What devices don’t have Bluetooth turned on now? Not to mention that this factor will obviously affect the user experience of the microphone, there is no obvious reminder in the product details page and instructions.

These three factors combined made me determined to return the product. With the help of JD.com, the return process was very smooth, which was a consolation.

Theoretically, a brand like Mammoth shouldn't have caused me this kind of problem. You can judge for yourself whether it is a low-probability event.

Below is the video I recorded when I was unboxing the microphone, including my thoughts on microphone selection and my opinion on the Mammoth M1 as well as a simple recording test.

Looking back, it’s a bit emotional and a bit funny.

But I don’t think it’s necessary to re-record it, so the main point is authenticity.

Finally, let’s talk about the issue of mono and binaural.

When I unboxed it, I was not familiar with the operation, so I didn't know how to switch between mono and dual channels. On the receiver, long press the volume "-" button, and the indicator light turns green, and it will switch to dual channel or mono. I don't remember clearly here.

When purchasing a wireless lavalier microphone, you still need to pay attention to the single-channel and dual-channel issue.

For example, the microphone purchased by a certain up master only supports dual-channel when it is one-to-two. If you want to record dual-channel, one person needs to carry two transmitters.

This is hard to judge...

Everyone must pay attention when purchasing.

So, I finally replaced the Mammoth M1 with the Co-Mark C1, and it is working fine now. Let's talk about it in the next video.

For friends who want to buy a wireless lavalier microphone, I have an experience to share that is not really a suggestion.

If you are like me and mainly record in a fixed office, a desktop microphone would be more suitable.

The most inconvenient thing about using wireless microphones is that every time I want to listen to the sound recorded by the computer, I have to change the headphones. Although the monitoring headphones of the receiver can hear the recorded sound in real time, they cannot directly hear the recorded audio. The Unipro desktop microphone from Comark can take both into account.

So, except for scenes that require movement, such as unboxing, most of my videos are recorded with a desktop microphone.

Well, if you find it useful, you can follow, like, coin, collect, and forward it; you can also comment below the video.

This is important to me

Bye~
