1. Educational discounts for Microsoft products
In the Microsoft product series, there are three types of products for which we may use the educational discounts of edu mailbox, namely hardware, software and cloud.
Microsoft hardware mainly refers to its surface computer, which has no cost-effectiveness. It is useless in front of the discounts of JD.com and Pinduoduo, so it can basically be ignored.
The software mainly refers to Microsoft 365 and OneDrive. Generally speaking, most regular edu mailboxes can use Microsoft 365 online, including Word, Excel, PPT and OneDrive, etc. Among them, the capacity of OneDrive is 100G.
But if you want to use the client, you have to pay for it.The personal version is 18 yuan/month. This price is not as good as buying a home version from Taobao and then sharing it with a few friends.
As for the cloud, it refers to Microsoft Azure. After passing the certification, you will be given a $100 credit and a bunch of free products for 12 months. If you want to practice building a website, it is also okay.

2. Certification status of various edu mailboxes
Regarding Microsoft's software and hardware, the educational discounts are really not that good, so there is no need to try them. As for Azure, it seems to be completely defeated. Whether it is the pseudo-edu domain edu.pl, or community colleges, alumni.edu, or the paid edu mailboxes I listed earlier, they all encountered this problem:
Of course, Azure student certification is as mysterious as Oracle. Some people with the same edu email address can pass, while others cannot. If you are really a student, or have a complete set of student information, you can click "contact support" to directly seek manual review help.
I have applied for manual review for CCC Community College and the two edu email addresses with student card information. I will wait and see what the results are. I hope there will be a surprise.
In conclusion: It is recommended that friends who need genuine Microsoft 365 should try the local Apple subscription route. Educational mailboxes that crash from time to time are not suitable for data that needs to be stored for a long time.
