      Generally speaking, if ordinary lines are oversold to a certain extent, the above is a normal price and traffic range. There may be differences between different companies, but they are not too big.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The price of Hong Kong lines needs to be discussed separately. Everything is expensive in this place, including bandwidth. The normal price is 2 to 3 US dollars per month. If the price is very low, be wary of running away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      5. Configuration and performance expectations: not very important<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      At this price point, no matter what the configuration is, it can be used or not, so don't worry too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. Data Center Location: West Coast of the United States and Singapore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Compared with the configuration, the location of the data center has a greater impact on the actual user experience. Without considering the line, the preferred options for users in mainland China are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The western United States is easy to understand because it is closer to China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The reason for choosing Singapore over Japan and Hong Kong is that the data costs in Hong Kong are generally higher than those in the other two places, and many US apps are restricted, such as ChatGPT; Japan has a higher speed than Singapore, but search engines will push more Japanese content in daily use, which can easily cause reading discomfort. Singapore is more in line with our usage habits in terms of app usage restrictions, Chinese and English languages, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Among them, some people use VPS to watch streaming media such as Netflix and Disney, so they pay more attention to the IP unlocking ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      However, the IP segments blocked by streaming media manufacturers are dynamic. Just because it works today does not mean it will work tomorrow. Therefore, no regular commercial data center will use unblocking streaming media as a selling point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      As far as the VPS I use now, XT, CC, and GC can all be unlocked successfully. Among them, DC2 is the first choice for GC Singapore, and DC1 should be avoided as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      As for the three-network lines, they specifically refer to lines optimized for China. For example, we will see a lot of high-sounding terms at the airport, such as CN2 GIA, CN2 GT, BGP, IAPL, IEPL, IPLC, etc. I don\u2019t want to go into details. These are basically not issues that need to be considered for VPSs priced at up to $30\/year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The only thing I want to remind you is that since our broadband operators are divided into China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, even in the same data center, there will be different network speeds and delays. Some VPS manufacturers will provide test IPs of different data centers. It is recommended to ping the IP in the "terminal" of the computer before purchasing to check the delay and packet loss. The common delay in the West Coast of the United States is between 180ms and 240ms. If it is higher than 300ms, please choose carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      8. Payment Suggestions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To make a long story short, among all the payment methods, if there is PayPal, try to choose PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, it is recommended to register one. Overseas, PayPal's constraints on merchants are much higher than those of Alipay and WeChat.       This is also my personal experience. After paying with Alipay at GC, I encountered problems and was evaded by Alipay customer service.
