Pixel 10 is here: a comprehensive analysis from "is it worth it" to "how to buy it" | Made by Google
Nearly a week has passed since the Google Pixel 10 series launch, and various superficial reviews have been released. On pre-sale day, I also capitalized on the hype by publishing a price analysis of various channels. However, due to time constraints, I forgot that Google Fi's trade-in price is much lower than the Google Store, so I calculated an outrageous price of $29. I've pinned the correction in my previous comment, and I'd like to emphasize it again here.
In addition, among the Pixel 10 series prices on various channels, Boost Mobile's contract prices of $299, $399, and $499 for the Digital Edition, Pro Edition, and XL Edition are clearly very attractive. Many friends have also asked how to place an order.
In reality, placing an order with Boost Mobile is very simple, requiring virtually no additional setup. Simply providing a US dollar bank card and a shipping address is generally sufficient. However, a word of caution for those unfamiliar with the matter: Boost has a poor reputation in the US, with many forum users citing its often unconventional practices. This is similar to some businesses at tourist attractions: "See it, try it, then die." Therefore, those without the necessary expectations should proceed with caution.
Because a few friends asked about Boost in the comments, and I was curious about how ridiculous the Boost service was, I took the liberty of ordering a Pixel 10 Pro. Sure enough, ordering was easy, but returning it was a hassle.
Despite Boost's shortcomings, using it to trade in an iPhone 16e is still a good deal, but that's another topic for another day.
Next, I'll share the entire process from ordering to returning a product on Boost Mobile. Of course, my refund will take another 7-10 business days, and I'm prepared to accept the consequences if I can't get a refund: using a phone that's basically incapable of making calls within China...
1. Official website purchase process
1. Preparation
I personally feel that the ordering environment of Boost Mobile is not strict, but since my network and browser have some common configurations, I would like to share it with you briefly and we can talk about it separately later when we have time.
Network environment: bypass openwrt, except for specific websites, all overseas traffic is diverted to US residential IP;
Browser: Chrome, with the WebRTC plug-in installed to prevent WebRTC leaks;
Shipping address: Shipping China
Payment method: Wise virtual card, set payment limit to prevent automatic deductions from being canceled; delete directly when necessary;
Of course, if you want to be more rigorous, you can also add fingerprint browsers and even remote VPS operations. There is a detailed tutorial on this in the Total Wireless issue, which you can watch.
I will put the links to the tools used in the video details or comments, you can check them out if you need them.

2. Purchase process
Then you just place an order on the official website. The whole process is very simple.
No need to port in or verify identity.
The main feature is a quick entry point.
(1) Official website demonstration
(2) Register an account via email
2. Return and Refund Process
(1) Cancel directly on the official website
I cancelled on August 21st, but was still charged on August 22nd.
(2) Contact online customer service
Was told he couldn't operate it and needed to call.
(3) Telephone contact
A certain level of English is required. The general process is:
1. Order number is required
2. Ask your name and use it to address you
3. Customer service asked: What did you buy? Answer: Pixel 10 Pro
4. Let me tell you that this is a pre-sale and the goods will be shipped after they are available.
5. Then the blind student discovered the key point: I had already cancelled the order on August 21, why did they still deliver the goods?
6. Confirm with customer service: I have canceled the order. When can I receive the refund?
7. Customer service asked: Do you want to cancel the order? Answer: Yes
8. Inform that the original card will be returned within 7 to 10 working days.
The process was pretty smooth. The only thing that surprised me was that I had canceled the order myself and confirmed it with the online customer service. Unexpectedly, when I called them, the order wasn't canceled. I confirmed the cancellation with the customer service again.
Next we will see whether we can receive the refund normally.
If you can't receive it, you can only submit a dispute with the bank.
