This is the sixth installment in our series on overseas network environments. We'll be discussing DMIT, a brand I've always wanted to buy from but could never snag their discounted lines. To see just how good DMIT is, I shamelessly asked the brand for two servers: a CN2 GIA from China Telecom and a CMIN2 from China Mobile. Then I manually created two test web pages. If you're interested, keep reading.
This video will be divided into two parts. First, we'll look at how top-tier telecom and mobile lines perform, and then we'll briefly discuss DMIT, a server industry "Hermes" or "family heirloom" that is relatively unfamiliar to ordinary users like us.
I. Product Demonstration
1.1 Product Line
- Pro
- ebyball
- tier
1.2 Hardware Facilities
The entire line adoptedAMD EPYC The processors used are the 9004 and 9005 in Los Angeles, and the 7003 in Hong Kong and Japan. They offer extremely high multitasking concurrency capabilities. For users, this means that when compiling code or running encrypted scripts, CPU steal time will not spike due to contention from neighboring processors.
Disk performance: DMIT instances consistently maintain disk I/O read/write speeds above 1GB/s, which is crucial for database read/write intensive applications (such as WordPress and MySQL).
1.2 Safety Protection
DMIT includes DDoS protection as a standard service. The following is a quote I found online, which you can refer to: It is said that some DMIT product lines integrate Cloudflare's cloud-based scrubbing solution, which can clean up attacks at the edge nodes of CF before they reach the data center. Even the regular Pro plan has a protection capability of 5Gbps to 10Gbps.
In short, it can significantly improve the online rate of services.
1.3 Traffic Flow
Speed limit, unlimited data
That's why, when I moved my blog from SiteGround, my first choice for a service provider was actually DMIT. Unfortunately, I couldn't snag a discounted server at the time, and since I needed a Singapore node that could unlock Disney, I used GreenCloud as a temporary solution.
II. Product Testing
2.1 Return Route Status
Install NextTrace script
bash <(curl -Ls https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sjlleo/nexttrace/main/nt_install.sh)
Check the return route

3. "Unfamiliar" VPS Lines
Next, we'll briefly discuss the DMIT brand and, incidentally, explore the background and trends of cross-border digital infrastructure development.
Generally speaking, when people talk about DMIT, they basically equate it with "high-quality Chinese lines". This is because DMIT's strategic positioning is to be a top-tier infrastructure provider in China's optimized niche markets, integrating the best bandwidth resources from Chinese operators, such as China Telecom's CN2 GIA and China Mobile's CMIN2.
For example, his Premium product line isOmnidirectional optimization of CN2 GIA.
Many vendors claiming CN2 service only offer "one-way CN2" (the outbound journey uses the regular route, the return journey uses CN2). DMIT's Premium series, however, typically offers...Bidirectional CN2 GIAThis means that whether a user sends a request or the server returns data, it should be transmitted within the CN2 network as much as possible.
Furthermore, DMIT employs a "forced routing" strategy for China Unicom and China Mobile users. Even China Mobile users' traffic is routed via BGP to China Telecom's CN2 GIA link before entering China. While this "borrowing" strategy increases costs, it avoids congestion issues at China Mobile and China Unicom's own international exit points, ensuring extreme stability during peak evening hours.
Its Eyeball circuitry incorporates...China Mobile CMIN2 (AS58807).
In the early days, to save on international data costs, China Mobile routed international traffic through free peering points such as Hong Kong and Singapore, resulting in high latency and packet loss rates. CMIN2 was a high-end international line launched by China Mobile to compete with China Telecom's CN2 GIA. DMIT was one of the first overseas service providers to commercially deploy CMIN2 on a large scale.
DMIT's Eyeball line uses intelligent scheduling to allow mobile users to connect directly via CMIN2, while China Telecom and China Unicom users can transmit via AS9929 (China Unicom's high-end network, i.e., the domestic backbone network) or CMIN2.
I'll discuss the network coverage of our country's three major telecom operators in a separate post sometime.
Generally speaking, among all the lines, China Telecom's best line is CN2 GIA, with the Autonomous System number AS4809; China Mobile's is CMIN2, or AS58807; and China Unicom's is domestic AS9929/international AS10099. However, because China Unicom has fewer users, its civilian backbone network AS4837 can provide an experience comparable to CN2 GT and even rivaling GIA when connecting to data centers in the Los Angeles and San Jose areas of the American West. Therefore, for Unicom users, VPSs that offer direct connections to AS4837 are often very cost-effective.
Alright, that's all for this video. Hopefully, everyone can find a server that suits their needs.
